Yes - A visa is required for travel to Liberia

A valid passport and tourist visa are required to visit Liberia.

Passport Requirements:

Original, signed passport valid for 6 months beyond stay in Liberia, with at least one blank passport page available for Liberian visa stamp. Amendment pages in the back of the passport are not suitable for Liberia visas.


Liberia Visa Application Form:

Two Liberia visa application forms. After placing your order, fill out the application forms included in your Visa Application Kit.


Photo Requirements:

Two recent (taken within the last 6 months), identical, 2 x 2 passport photographs, in color, front view and with a plain/light background.

OR - you can upload a photo when you place your order, instead of providing physical passport photos.


Letter of Authorization:

Residents of New York jurisdiction: Signed and notarized New York Letter of Authorization Form.


Proof of Travel Arrangements:

Computer generated flight itinerary, clearly showing the applicant’s name, from the airline or a travel agency or copy of airline ticket showing entry and departure from Liberia.


Applicants Under the Age of 18:

A copy of the birth certificate and a notarized letter signed by both parents authorizing international travel and requesting issuance of the visa. A copy of guardianship or custody agreement documents are also required (if applicable).


Medical Requirements:

International certificate of vaccination against yellow fever.

Visas are usually valid for 3 months from date of issue.
